Why ventilate with WRG?

Good air is important, as it is essential for the well being of people in a closed environment. It is a basic prerequisite for good health and feeling comfortable. It also helps to prevent damage to the wall structure caused by air-tight construction.
The heat conservation regulation (WSVO 95) has limited the yearly heating consumption for new residential buildings. Special attention was placed on thick insulation in order to minimize heat losses .
The new energy conservation regulation (EnEV) brings the heat conservation and heating devices regulations together. This combined act takes into consideration the two most important ways to cut heating energy consumption rates: The improvement of heat loss protection in buildings and the improvement of efficiency ratings of technical devices. The primary energy consumption for heating/hot water in residential buildings and necessary household technology (such as ventilation devices) as well as air-proof insulation of the building are at the center of this new law. Low energy building is the current building standard, and therefore the permissible yearly heating reqirement in comparison to WSVO 95 is cut further by app. 30%.
Because of this development newly built houses nowadays are “wearing warm clothes”. The necessary air circulation to maintain the building substance and to make the inhabitants feel comfortable must however be considered as well. Window ventilation, being the most simple way of bringing fresh air in, no longer conforms with the latest technical solutions and developments(using air-proof insulation). The inhabitant of the home is now placed at a disadvantage in respect to ensuring the minimum air circulation. Therefore the ventilation rate is either too low (mould, damages caused by humidity) or too high. That is where especially during the heating season an enormous potential for heat losses is occurring. Losses caused by ventilation are sometimes responsible for more than 50% of all heat losses in a house.
Comfortable, hygienic living conditions and conservation of heating energy are what everybody is interested in. It is something we can do for our health, to protect our wallets and the environment. Therefore, controlled ventilation of inhabited rooms is not only reasonable but it is a current and future requirement for better building standards.

The M-WRG ventilation with heat recovery fulfils all of these requirements.
The heat from the filtered used air is recovered through a heat exchanger and transmitted to the filtered cool fresh air blown into the rooms.
This lowers the heating costs of the household and at the same time manages to increase the comfort of living thanks to the permanent air circulation.
Saving energy
About 79% of a household’s energy costs are those for heating.(Northern Europe and similar climatic regions of the US and Canada) More than half of these costs are often wasted through window ventilation because of the conduct of the inhabitants and unsuitable equipment employed. Using a better temperature setting, good insulation and a controlled home ventilation system, a very large part of the heating energy can be saved.
The better the insulation, the more important is the controlled ventilation of the home in order to get the humidity and air pollutants away while saving as much energy as possible. Even from the viewpoint of CO2 emissions, which are widely known to worsen the greenhouse effect, the energy savings are still reasonable. The energy consumption for room heating of residential buildings totals 25% of all energy consumption in Germany…
